About Lauren Jobling
Psychotherapist
I’m a female psychotherapist based in Anerley near Crystal Palace in south east London.
Originally from the North East, I have lived in London for over 13 years. My former work life was in commercial marketing in the tourism and entertainment sectors. I decided to pursue a career in psychotherapy because of my own lived experiences and challenges to make meaning of my life.
I have a Masters (MSc) in Integrative Psychotherapy from London's renowned Metanoia Institute.

How do I work?
I facilitate a process where you can begin to make meaning of your life and relationships. We work together collaboratively to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. By examining and clarifying your assumptions, values, beliefs and aspirations, you could perhaps take a new direction in your life. I believe that life is one long process of change and transformation and that we are all unique individuals.
I integrate several approaches to support my work with you, such as psychodynamic, humanistic and existential. I am passionate about existential philosophy and what it means to be human.
I have been practising as a therapist for over four years and continue to work across the charity sector and the NHS. I also work in the education and mental health sectors.
Issues I have worked with include:
- Bereavement, grief and loss
- Low self-esteem/confidence
- Addiction
- Abuse
- Depression/low mood
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Trauma
- Identity
- Relationship issues
I offer short-term (usually between 6 and 12 sessions) and open-ended, long-term psychotherapy.
I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by the code of ethics as well as having my work regularly supervised by a senior psychotherapist.
